I'm Vishal Singh, and I've been writing code professionally for about four years now.

I started my journey as a software engineer building web applications. In this role, fixing bugs at 2 AM was normal, and successfully shipping a feature without breaking anything felt like a real achievement. I worked on improving page load times, handling errors before users even noticed them, and building systems that were used by thousands of people every day. The work was demanding, but it taught me what it truly takes to build reliable software that perform well in real world conditions.

Somewhere along the way, I got really curious about machine learning. I'd read about these incredible AI systems, but I wanted to understand how they actually worked. Not just the theory, but how you take a model and turn it into something real that people can use. So I decided to go back to school.

Now I'm doing my Master's in Computer Science at Boston University, focusing on machine learning and computer vision. I'm taking what I learned from years of building production systems and applying it to AI. Whether it's predicting housing prices or building computer vision models that run on small devices, I try to build things that are practical and actually solve problems.

When I'm not working, you'll probably find me on a hiking trail, playing tennis, or at the gym. I also love cooking and experimenting with new dishes. There's something satisfying about following a recipe and making it your own, kind of like debugging code but with better results at the end.
